It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the Drake Calleja Trust’s second concert featuring selected Scholars (2016-17) and our Patron, Joseph Calleja. On 20th May 2017 at the UN Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel at Ten Trinity Square, the following Scholars will perform chamber music and vocal repertoire. Joseph Calleja will perform solo arias and duets with our singers scholars and the Trust’s Head of Scholarships and Artistic Planning, Vicky Yannoula.

The concert will consist of two halves and a drinks and canapés reception at the interval.

  • VIOLIN & VIOLA CHAMBER MUSIC MASTERCLASS & CONCERT (free attendance)

Professors Yuri Zhislin (violin/viola) and Igor Yuzefovich (violin)

Monday 13th March 2017, 11:00am to 6:00pm
Venue: Florian Leonhard Fine Violins (3 Frognal Lane, London NW3 7DY).

 

After the masterclass there was a 60min chamber music recital at 6.45pm by:

Igor Yuzefovich (violin), Yuri Zhislin (violin/viola) and Vicky Yannoula (piano)

Concert programme included Mozart’s “Kegelstatt” trio K498 and Schumann’s “Märchenerzählungen” Op.132 for violin, viola and piano, as well as Mozart’s Duo in G K423 and Handel/Halvorsen Passacaglia for violin and viola.

The masterclass was open to Drake Calleja Trust Scholars and their collaborating musicians and was also open to audience members who wished to observe. Masterclass participants and observers were welcome to attend the concert after the masterclass. Participation at the masterclass was free for performers and observers. Concert attendance was also free.
